What is Island Arts Camp?

The Reach Performing Arts Center, alongside community partner  "Mariners Soar!  After School Program!" is running Arts Camp 2025. Over the last two years, we have reimagined what Arts Week will look like, and found great success!

Arts Camp will run in the middle of July, from Monday July 7th through Friday July 11th at Deer Isle - Stonington Elementary School.

For students entering grades 1-5 in the Fall of 2025, we will have a daily cycle of classes. Each day, these students will explore a number of different art forms through engaging activities., They will spend the week honing a variety of skills in the visual and performing arts.

For students entering grades 6-9, Arts Week will be a performing arts camp, with a more open format, culminating in a final show on Friday. Students will build the show from the ground up. They will engage in idea creation, script writing, set and costume design, lighting and sound design, rehearsal, and performance as they shape the production they will share at the week’s end.

Please provide your child with a healthy snack and a brown bag lunch. PLEASE NOTE: Our campus is a NUT FREE zone. Please do not send your camper with any nut products.  This includes coconut.
